Backyard Fun/ Pi Night

In honor of Pi Day (3/14) we had some pie. Here are some shots of the kids and their friends having fun with the pie.

For anyone wondering how big Kinley is, well not too big. I am thinking she is about 12 lbs. I don't think she is going to get much bigger, most females are 15-17. Anyways, there she is.
Oh how Alex loves the trampoline.
Morgan showing off for the camera.

Tara and her jumping skills.

There is Kinley again. I think she kindof looks like a black fox

My Kids

I love my kids. They are truly the best. I love being a mom, it is the greatest, most rewarding experience. I just hope I do a good enough job that they all turn out okay. I hope I am building habits that will enable them and help them not only in this life, but forever. I have a big job and feel the only thing that holds me back is how tired I get of all the demands of life.
Sometimes I feel like I need a coach to give me a little boost of confidence and when I am typing this I can't help but think of all my friends who are amazing examples to me, who encourage, support and help me be a better mom. Heather my sister in law is definitely one of the few who really make me want to try harder and be a better mom. My friend Jenn, who works, is an amazing mom. She works a full time job, but always seems to be happy about life and parenting.
There are so many women who I look up to and admire.
Anyways, speaking of being a good mom, I had better get to bed so I have the energy to chase these darling little ones tomorrow. Goodnight :o)

Let's See....

Not too much has been happening here. Just the same old daily grind. This weekend we finished cleaning out the garage and parked two cars in it. That was nice because I didn't know if was even possible with how many sporting goods we own.
The weather has been great. Our neighbors have been mowing their lawns, we have yet to follow, but it won't be too long. The daffodils are also starting to pop up, which means its spring, right? Well here in Oregon it seems like it has begun.
Here are some pictures of Morgan and Alex. Morgan put on a pair of Alex's pants, they look like capri's. So stylish Morgan.

Merry Christmas

We had a great Christmas minus a bout of stomach flu. A week or so before Christmas each of the kids got sick, then I got sick two days before Christmas, then my mom and sister on Christmas day. It only lasted a day, which is good, but it was a horrible experience.
Anyways, here are some pictures from the random happenings. Enjoy!

It Snowed! Yahooo. It only lasted about 20 hours, but we loved it while it was here. That is the beauty of living somewhere it doesn't snow and is warm. Like today for example 55 degrees, how can you go wrong with that in January?

Here is Grammie, sporting a hat at Macy's. I think it suits her well. Reminds me of a Dale hat, but am not sure if he actually owned one like that or not.

Here is Tara ready to go for the girls night out. Thanks Aunt Heather for the skirt. She is sure darn cute.

Ebelskiver's for breakfast. Yummm. This is a danish breakfast that we have on Christmas morning. They are similar to pancakes. They kindof remind me of a donut hole. We filled ours with blueberries and put whip cream on top. They were good.

Here are some random pictures...like the messy house in the background? You have to give us a break, we just moved.

Here are some Christmas morning pictures. Looks like everything is in reverse here, so if you want to see them in order, start from the bottom.

Here is our dinner Christmas Eve. Tara wanted to have traditional middle eastern food and a candle lit dinner. I wanted to sit on the floor. It was actually really neat. We had something called Falafel and all sorts of other delicious things.

Tara was in the Nutcracker this year. Here is a picture of her after her performance. She did a great job.
