Google Reader

So I just wanted to share something with you that makes the blogging world a better place. It is called Google Reader. I use it with my gmail account, it is on the top tool bar. I just click on Add subscription, type in thekearls.com or whatever website I want to follow, and vawalaa! It shows me when people update their pages, so I don't have to go click on 30 different websites! It is beautiful. Anyone else use it? It seems like the Tim Wilson's and Grandma Sally use it, because they are usually the first to comment on my updated blog.
Anyways, I love it....you might love it too. I already hooked Eric into it.

Beach Adventure

Saturday we headed to the beach with our friends. When we got there it was raining, but we decided to press forward and deal with the rain. After about ten minutes it stopped, we pulled out the wood and started cooking. We had about 2 1/2 hours of no rain and when we finished cooking the smores, it started to rain again. So we packed up and went home. But it was honestly a perfect day! Here are some shots from our little adventure.
Eric's marvelous fire pit and roaring fire. In the back ground is our friend Chad. Him and his wife Beth have three children almost exactly the same age as our children, just the opposite gender. We have Tara, Morgan, Alex. They have Carsen, Abby, and Alivia. (Oliver and Kristin, that's a cute girl name don't you think. It is like Olivia, but with more of an Ah sound.)

Yummy Smores...

Cute Tara

Alivia and Alex hanging out under the umbrella. They were very happy little babies. They are six days difference in age.
Happy little Alex

Now what do we have here? We call it a potato sack. This potato sack likes to be hauled around.

IT"S MORGAN!!! He loves getting in this pillow case, curling into a ball and being picked up. It is pretty funny!

A cute picture of Alex and Tara.

Happy Birthday Gramdma Sally

To Grandma:
We just wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday! We hope you had a great day and know that we love you all the way over here in Oregon. It is hard living so far away from you and we miss you so much. But we always have fun when you visit. You are a great Grandma and we love you so much. Mom and Dad would say that you spoil us, but we really do not mind. We love when you read books and snuggle with us. We love you oh so much Grandma! We hope to see you this summer. We will take you to the beach and to see the beautiful waterfalls!
Love Tara, Morgan and Alex

Grandma and Jacob (couldn't find one with Morgan, you better come visit, so we can get one)

Teaching Tara to needlepoint
(A note from Jen: I love this last picture. It is so beautiful to see those little hands with her Grandma's. We really love you and miss you a ton. Hope you had a special day!)

Oh Canada!

As some of you know, I (this is Eric speaking, not Jen) took a trip up to Canada for work. I went up to work on some of our (Columbia Helicopters) helicopters that we lease to a Canadian company based out of Campbell River, British Columbia. The town is located on Vancouver Island and a lot of these pictures are from the ferry ride onto the island. Overall the trip went well; I really enjoyed the work up there, the quieter hanger, and the bigger paycheck. It was hard not being able to be with the family though, and I can not tell you how sick of eating out I got, eat out is great and all, but three meals a day for 19 days is a little to much (thank you Ted and Terri for a couple of real meals, next time I think we will have to fight the crabs in honor of your boys). Some how Jen survived it all and we have really been enjoying our time together now. It is crazy how much little ones can change in 2 weeks though, Alex and Morgan have changed so much. Alex is now a lot more vocal and is really starting to come out of his shell and develop his own personality. Morgan has started to talk in full sentences and is able to really communicate with you now instead of just shooting out a couple of words. Best of all though is that he has done really well with potty training and is wearing underwear all the time. That’s about all from this end, hope you enjoy the pictures.

So a few weeks ago I read and thoroughly enjoyed this book. I am recommending it to anyone who would like to know a little bit more about the history of the "food like substance" consumers we have become and what it is doing to our bodies.
The author has a witty writing style and backs his claims with scientific evidence. I don't know what else to say other than I loved it. Stan and Roz (Eric's 2nd Cousins) let us borrow it and I really am grateful they had the notion to do so.
If anyone else has read it, let me know what you thought.
